March 4 – Evening at the Opera!

We were able to get tickets to the last night of “Great Opera Hits” performance at the Sydney Opera House, a 90 minutes summer concert series offered every year. The performance was in the smaller Joan Sutherland theater and was wonderful, of course. The first half included mostly songs we didn’t know but the second half was more familiar and therefore more fun. The host and singers added comedy where appropriate and we even were invited to sing along to one piece (when indicated).

Since we “don’t get out much” it was nice to see some of the night time lights as we left the theater.
