Today we headed to the Steve Erwin Australia Zoo on our way north (after a quick “tour” the large city of Brisbane). It turns our this zoo is also focused on shows and presentations – very popular – however we were focused on seeing animals we hadn’t seen before as well as our favorites. The animal habitats were pretty large and the park is beautiful.
We enjoyed talking with some of the zoo keepers about the animals they were responsible for. Example: we learned so much about the 8 lemurs up in the tree near us thanks to the zoo keeper nearby. I’ll just include some of the many photos I took for now.

After a great day at the Australian Zoo we stayed in one more my most unfavorite motels – Room Motel Gympie – which had no windows except that opened on to the corridor and was next to the highway. My bad pick – but Dirk thought the bed was comfortable!
